Alison Kruvant is a painter based in Brooklyn. She earned a B.A. from Oberlin College in Studio Art and Art History. A graduate of the MFA in Painting program at Tyler School of Art, she spent one year studying in Rome. Kruvant has shown her work in the Philadelphia area.

I paint to describe an experience of seeing. By obscuring, I reveal—partial, fragmentary glimpses. My subjects are in movement, their visible reality essentially porous and incomplete. I am interested in an aesthetic of fluidity that mirrors the process of becoming. Through painting, I create mutable perspectives that resist fixation.
