Eric Capper is a sound artist, woodworker, musician, and writer. After years as a journalist and copy writer he came to focus his energy on running a woodshop and attending music conservatory in Brooklyn where he began making electronic music and designing sound. Lately he’s been exploring microcontrollers and visual programming languages for sound, and the materiality of sound through explorations in sound sculpture and acoustics. Eric is a first-year graduate student in the Sound department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
