Laura Waltje is a bilingual writer and translator with a particular interest in using documentary poetics to understand feelings of culpability within our own trauma. She is the managing director and co-founder of Second Draft Press and a recent graduate of Columbia College Chicago’s MFA poetry program. She is currently working on a translation of Ovid’s Metamorphosis, as well as two novels, one collaboratively and one independently. She is also an award winning pie baker.
