Reed Fowler (they/them/theirs) is a seminarian pursuing ordination in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. They are queer, trans, living with mental illness, and an artist. Pastorally, Reed is invested in expansive notions of care, embracing narratives of abundance, and centering alternate and artistic expressions of faith. Artistically, they are multi-medium, working in words, clay, fabric, thread, and dirt. They have done academic work on theological support for suicide attempt survivors, and are deepening their knowledge of disability justice (Care Work: Dreaming Disability Justice, by Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha has been critical to this). They spend downtime knitting, queering faith + domesticity, learning to rest, and snuggling with their ever-increasing menagerie.
