Romina Gonzales

Romina Gonzales is a New York-based interdisciplinary artist working in sculpture, installation, writing, performance and sound. A Peruvian native, raised along the Pacific ocean in the midst an internal armed conflict, Gonzales' work is informed by social and political structures of power that are internalized, questioning perception, interpretation and subjectivity from a post-colonial lens.
Exhibitions and collections include the Museum of American Glass, the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York, Vitraria Museum in Venice, Italy and Fundación Euroidiomas in Lima, Perú. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, CBS New York, Hyperallergic, and New Glass Review by the Corning Museum of Glass, among others. She graduated from New York University in 2013 (B.F.A) after previously attending Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
