Seamus Carey is an artist working primarily with sound. Through experimentation with varying methods of sound generation, he seeks to create aural, visual, and tangible manifestations of acoustic phenomena. Seamus’s work uses the distinct abilities of humans and machines to explore both the controllable and uncontrollable elements of sound, technology, and the human body. He is currently interested in reframing mundane sounds, objects, and systems in order to reconsider how they are observed and interacted with in everyday life.
