The Neighbors was founded in Chicago in February 2020 by four friends who started out as neighbors. Throughout this journey, we have remained dedicated to building a platform for artists around the world to get to know each other. We believe in honoring the individual in order to empower the collective.

The Neighbors is an Arts Organization built on mutual support. It has served over 100 artists from over 35 cities across the globe with our virtual and in person programming. In January 2024 we obtained Fiscal Sponsorship from Fractured Atlas and began fundraising. We aim to publish The Neighbors News which will be a magazine whose issues each spotlight up-and-coming artists and social justice practitioners in each city for each issue. We will distribute the printed magazine to our global audience, raising awareness both locally and globally.

Our mission is to put a microphone to stories that have been historically unheard. Tales that have yet to be told. Encouraging these music notes to form in unison catalyzing a cacophonous symphony.
