The Neighbors is a curatorial collective and artist community that was founded in Pilsen, Chicago in February 2020 by four friends who started out as neighbors. Throughout this journey, we have remained dedicated to building a platform for artists around the world to get to know each other.
We believe in honoring the individual in order to empower the collective.
The Neighbors is an arts organization built on mutual support. It has served over 150 artists from 37 cities across the globe with our virtual and in person programming. In January 2024 we obtained Fiscal Sponsorship from Fractured Atlas and began fundraising. We are currently focused on printing the inagural issue of The Neighbors magazine, hosting The Neighbors Residency at Glendale Farm, and producing our first film: PLATES (Mi Amor).
